Swimsuits for Curvy Girls

Let’s face it. Not all women are blessed with a perfect body figure to flaunt with their swimsuit on. In fact, swimwear shopping can be a daunting task for anyone. On the contrary, one can pull out different strategies to get rid of swimsuit problems. Choose flattering styles that will compliment your body shape and will help you hide problem areas. Remember that fit is fabulous, and the right suit can make all the difference in the way you look and feel.

Being curvy is a good thing contrary to what most people would say. Associating the word “curvy” with being overweight is not always true.

Curvy girls have almost equally proportioned upper and lower body. They have big chests, small waists, and full hips that make their body shape literally like an hourglass. Having the curves may seem unmanageable at times but don’t despair! The good thing is that, it creates a waist which all other women envy. Walk tall and reclaim your natural confidence by wearing the right suit. Show off your assets and hide your body flaws. Always look for opportunities to show off your curves. This figure calls for suits that complement curves while keeping assets firmly in place. Look for styles specifically designed to slim your middle.

There are limitless options to achieve a classic look when wearing a one piece suit. A one-piece swimsuit with ruched or draping around the torso is very much flattering. It defines your waist while slimming down your stomach.  On the other hand, a skirted swimsuit easily masks fuller hips and thighs. When choosing a color,   a black or navy swimsuit will make you slimmer. It can also emphasize your arms and legs if you are pale.  Solid colored suit will give you a modest yet sexy look. Achieve an overall look of slimness with neutral color swimsuits such as dark khaki or army green. Look for one piece swimsuits with an ample amount of lycra in the abdomen to help flatten the tummy out.

A bikini is also a perfect wear for a curvy girl. It comes in a variety of colors and cuts to accommodate women with hourglass figure. If your bust is large, give it a good support with an underwire or reinforced cup.  Getting them up and out will accentuate your waist even more. Go for a halter style suit with comfortable wide and thick straps to flatter your figure.  A halter tankini top or one with a built-in bra is best to accommodate larger chests.

For your bottom, consider your body flaws or trouble areas. A backside which is less than firm, need a full coverage bottom or boy shorts. For elongated and leaner legs, try on a high-cut bottom.  A string bottom can be beneficial as it’s fully adjustable and can be tied so it doesn’t dig in to your side. It will also add youth and sex appeal to the look.

It’s time to feel beautiful. Be beach-ready with the right and perfect styles for you to make summer unforgettably stylish!
