  • Putting on sunscreen shouldn’t just be a must when going swimming; it is advisable to use at sunscreen even when you’re just going out for a short work or an errand. Aside from blocking harmful UV rays from the sun, sunscreen can also prevent skin cancer. In the long run, it has also been proven to make the skin smoother and more resilient.


  • If you don’t have actual sunscreen, you can also use products that have sunscreen such as BB creams. BB stands for beauty balm or blemish balm, and such product can do wonders for the skin. Aside from their aesthetic purposes, most BB creams often contain sunscreen. In addition, they help in evening out the skin tone and moisturizing the skin.


  • Moisturizing the skin is another great way to get glowing skin. Aside from using moisturizers, you also need to drink plenty of water as water gets rid of a lot of toxins from the body. Remember that the skin is an organ, which is composed of cells that are made up of water. When skin cells lack water, they will not function properly and may cause dry, flaky skin.


  • If you want to put a twist on plain water, then you can add cucumbers to it or drink green tea to increase your intake of antioxidants. The Vitamin C and caffeic acid in cucumbers can prevent wrinkles, fend off sun damage, and soothe other skin irritations. Green tea is also rich in Vitamin C, which can make the skin radiant by fighting skin cell-damaging free radicals and increasing the production of collagen and elastin.


  • Another way to nourish your skin cells is by exercising. You don’t have to do extreme exercises; simple ones like walking around or taking the stairs every day are enough. Often, exercising is associated with cardiovascular benefits, but it also benefits the skin by increasing blood flow. Increased blood flow ensures proper blood and oxygen circulation throughout the body, which of course includes the skin. Moreover, exercise brings out a natural blush of color to your skin, which can lead to a beautiful glow.

At the end of the day, no matter how much skin products or makeup you have used, always make sure to wash your face. Cleansing your skin before you sleep prevents skin pores from clogging up and oil from building up. Make sure to use clean water and pat your skin dry.
