Top 10 American TV Series to Watch this 2014

These days, there are so many TV series that feature different genres: comedy, action, drama, sci-fi, horror, etc. In the US alone, there are so many to choose from, but here’s a list of top 10 American TV series you shouldn’t miss this year:

10 Fargo – Yes, this series is based on the 1996 film of the same title. Dark comedy plus crime and drama make up the series. It is about an insurance salesman who is influenced by a malicious and violent character.

9 Silicon Valley – The show focuses on 6 guys and their start-up company in Silicon Valley. Often, they find themselves in comedic situations, combined with a competitive spirit.

True Detective – Crime and drama come together as 2 homicide detectives hunt a notorious serial killer in the first season. The series has an anthology format, which means upcoming seasons will have a different story and set of characters.

7 Hannibal–This seriescenters on the famous cannibalistic serial killer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter and his manipulative ways, particularly on FBI profiler Will Graham. The series presents a dangerous villain in a classy, intellectual way, which makes it quite refreshing despite its seriousness.

6  The Walking Dead–This is the ultimate zombie-themed series that usually causes viewers to scream while they’re heartbeats race. Based on a comic book, the series focuses on deputy sheriff Rick Grimes andother survivors making their way through the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse.

5 Sleepy Hollow – The lead actor’s sexy British accent is enough to make you love this modern retelling of Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Have a thrilling time watching the resurrected Ichabod Crane and lieutenant Abbie Mills as they prevent Moloch and the 4 Horsemen from unleashing the apocalypse.

4 The Flash–This is an upcoming series focusing on one of DC comics’ superheroes. Forensic scientist Barry Allen is struck by lightning while investigating a company’s particle accelerator leaving him in a coma. Upon waking up, he discovers that he can move at superhuman speed and uses his new found ability to protect the city.

3 Teen Wolf–Loosely based on the 1985 fantasy comedy film, this series has a darker side to it, but still has a lot of funny lines. It is mostly about Scott McCall, a werewolf, and his friends who continuously face hostile forces, supernatural or otherwise. They help each other in protecting their loved ones and their home, Beacon Hills. A lot of good-looking actors and actresses are part of the series, too!

2 Once Upon A Time – If you loved fairy tales as a child, then this series will surely appeal to you. It has a good mix of drama, fantasy, and adventure as popular fairy tale characters from the Enchanted Forest, Neverland, and other mystical places are brought into the “real world.”

1 Game of Thrones – This is probably one of the most talked about series of all time particularly because it doesn’t discriminate when it comes to killing off its characters. Based on the fantasy novels of George R. R. Martin, GOT has it all – strong protagonists, despicable villains, amazing dragons, sensual characters, and many more.

With such great TV series, more time to watch them is what viewers need!
